Module 6 – Learner Support as a Precondition for Inclusive Learner Engagement in VET
This module explores the critical role of learner support in enhancing accessibility and fostering inclusive learner engagement in vocational education and training (VET). It emphasises how effective support mechanisms can break down barriers and ensure that all learners, regardless of their backgrounds, can fully participate in learner engagement activities. The module addresses two primary forms of learner support:
- General learner support: Institution-wide policies and practices that serve as foundational enablers of inclusive learner engagement, removing the burden from individual teachers and creating a supportive educational environment.
- Individualised learner engagement support: Targeted assistance for learners, ensuring that tailored support is available at the point of need to enhance their participation and confidence.
