A sense of belonging is fundamental to learners’ academic success and overall well-being. In the context of today’s increasingly demanding and competitive educational environment, fostering a feeling of acceptance and connection within the school community is more important than ever. In this learning module, we will delve into the various factors that contribute to creating a sense of belonging among learners. We will examine the role of inclusive practices, positive teacher-learner relationships, supportive peer interactions, and a safe school climate. Additionally, we will discuss how these elements not only enhance learners’ emotional well-being but also significantly impact their academic performance and motivation to succeed. By understanding and addressing these factors, we can work towards fostering an environment where every learner feels a strong sense of belonging, ultimately leading.
